stupid cell phones.

phones are ruining our communication skills. it sounds a little ironic but its true. he's out in the field with lousy signal so we're relying on texts. stupid. texts were not meant for real conversations. we had a fight this morning. we don't fight often but its easy to misunderstand a text message. really easy. but we finally got to talk for a little while and we talked it out. he's just miserable. they were practicing putting on their gas masks today. that's never fun. this worst part of all of this is knowing that its just the beginning. he hasn't even deployed yet. he's still just in training. and not even mobilization training. this is all preliminary stuff still. but he comes home in eight days and in nine days we become husband and wife. i'm super excited. but as always i just wish we had more time.

Just so you know, it is common for tensions to be high right at deployment time. You both are anxious of those things to come and your thoughts are full. Expect little disagreements and allow more to "roll off".
